Admissions

The ALI aims to provide students with an understanding of U.S. cultures and values, particularly within the educational environment, while acknowledging and valuing students' own cultures and languages. This means you will experience high-quality instruction by skilled instructors in a place that is sensitive to your needs.

How to Apply

  1. Prepare your required admission documents. 
  2. Apply using our online application. / Students interested in an ALI Camp should use the Camp Application.
  3. Wait for an email from the ALI confirming receipt of your application and letting you know if we need any more information.
  4. Follow the instructions emailed to you by Interntional Admissions to pay the $75 application fee.
  5. Admission take about 1-2 weeks depending on the program you apply to. 
  6. Immigration documents are usually ready 2-3 weeks after you receive admission. 
*Please note: UMKC will not begin to process admission until after the $75 application fee is paid. And immigration documents cannot be created without financial documents.
