The ALI's Community English Program helps students improve their English proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Classes meet twice a week - Tuesday and Thursday. If enrollment requires an additional class section, it will meet Monday and Wednesday. This program is open to anyone who wants to improve their English in a non-intensive program.

All our instructors have master's degrees in teaching English as a Second Language and experience teaching overseas. Many of them have been teaching English as a Second Language at UMKC for several years. They are innovative and up-to-date in teaching methods and technology.
