Placement Exam

Accurate initial placement is a key factor in successfully learning a foreign language. The placement exam assesses your current language abilities and matches them to the course most suitable for that level.

About the Placement Exam

  • Online
  • Takes only 15 to 30 minutes
  • Take it at any Internet-connected computer

Instructions for the Placement Exam

  1. Click here to open the Emmersion website.
  2. Create your login account.
  3. Select the language.
  4. Fill in the requested information.
  5. Take the test.
  6. If you take a break, follow the instructions for resuming an interrupted test.

As with most standardized tests, various factors can affect your score. The results are valid under normal circumstances, and only if you provide honest, non-contradictory answers. If you disagree with the results, you may try again. You may also consult with a MAP mentor.
