About

Ms. Kelley has taught German and Spanish from the beginning to the advanced levels at the University of Missouri Kansas City and Rockhurst University.   Although passionate about teaching, she is also involved with research in the field of language and perception. At the Conference on Evolution and Classification in Biology, Linguistics and the History of Science, at Heinrich-Heine-University, Düsseldorf, Germany she spoke on “How the capacity for categorization affects human language.” This is also the theme of her dissertation.

She enjoys visiting her friends and relatives in Germany and Spain, riding Morgan horses, adventures and reading novels.

Education

Ph.D. Linguistics and History of Science, University of Missouri in Kansas City.

M.A. in Comparative Literature from Washington University in St. Louis.

Achievements

Ms. Kelley has received awards in teaching excellence from Rockhurst University. Recently she was recruited to develop the English teaching program in elementary schools in Aragón, Spain.
