Dr. Rebecca Best joined the political science department at UMKC in the fall of 2012. Her research focuses on armed conflict involving non-state actors, peace processes, terrorism and counter-terrorism, reintegration of veterans and combatants, as well as the effects of women in government, armed groups, and peace processes.
