About

David Trowbridge is the William T. Kemper Associate Research Professor in Digital and Public Humanities in the Department of History and serves on the Steering Committee of the Center for Digital and Public Humanities. Dr. Trowbridge is the author of A History of the United States, a collegiate textbook published under a Creative Commons license. He is also the creator of Clio, a free website and mobile application that connects thousands of people to information about nearby historical and cultural sites. He is passionate about creating intuitive technologies that empower scholars and organizations to reach the public at scale and in ways that work in an increasingly connected world.
