About

Whitney Terrell, who came to UMKC in 2004, teaches graduate and undergraduate creative writing. The Boston Globe and The Washington Post selected his most recent novel, The Good Lieutenant (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 2016), as a best book of 2016. His nonfiction appears in The New York Times, Harper’s, The New Republic, and other publications. He directs the Writers at Work Series.
