Peter Bayless came to UMKC in the fall of 2011 and has been teaching since 2013. His areas of interest include fiction and narrative (particularly weird or offbeat sorts), social justice and inclusiveness, and especially the places where the two overlap. Toward that end, he develops and teaches Discourse classes that invite exploration of these themes as they pertain to students’ own lives and concerns. He enjoys creating and exploring new worlds, whether textual, miniature, or electronic.
