About
Professor Campbell is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor within the University of Missouri-Kansas City Department of Criminal Justice & Criminology. She is also an Associate Faculty member for the Race, Ethnic, and Gender Studies Department. Her areas of emphasis include victimology, individual and community trauma, and the practitioner experience. Professor Campbell started her career working with victims of violent crime at the community, county, and state level. This work includes direct service engagement, training, and program development. Within the department, she serves as the Community Engagement Director. This work includes serving as the Faculty Advisor for the CJC Club and APS Honor Society, MuMu chapter; as well as enhancing the department’s community connections and scaling initiatives through integrative partnerships.
