The ALI Scholarship

The ALI offers a partial scholarship to all of our students so that you pay close to what a domestic student pays. The amount (and type) of the scholarship depends on your visa, how many classes you are taking and how long you study.

Academic Scholarships

ESOL and conditionally-admitted students are eligible to receive scholarships for academic degree classes. The scholarship typically covers 95 to 100% of an international student’s non-resident fees, so the student pays almost the same price as a Missouri state resident. This can save students more than $35,000 for a four-year degree! These scholarships only apply to degree coursework after a student completes ESOL. Thus, students must be admitted to an academic degree program before they can receive one of these scholarships. Students are reviewed for these scholarships during the admission process. However, the scholarship may not show up on your account until after you begin academic classes.

Chancellor’s Non-Resident Award (CNR)

Academic departments in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Bloch School award as many as 200 of these scholarships to incoming students that have strong academic backgrounds. The scholarship covers the non-resident portion of a student’s tuition. Students must have a minimum high school/college GPA of 3.0 to be eligible.
