UMKC has two on-campus dormitories - Johnson Hall and Oak Street Hall. Both dormitories have community kitchens, social lounges, and private study areas. Students who live on campus must purchase a meal plan.

For short-term stays of 10 days or less, a nearby hotel stay is recommended.

Hotels in the Country Club Plaza area are a short 7-10 minute drive or 30 minute walk from UMKC Volker Campus. All recommended hotel accomodations feature rooms with either 1 king or 2 queen size beds, and a microwave and mini fridge. Some hotels feature a continental breakfast and shuttle. The cost per night may vary dependent on the season, dates of reservation, and length of stay.

UMKC has agreements with several hotels in the nearby area, so we are typically able to offer a nightly rate of around $150 per room per night.
