Faculty Mentors

Why Work With A Mentor?

Your MAP Mentor will get to know your strengths, interests and goals in order to provide personalized guidance and recommendations. They will help you align your academic and personal aspirations with meaningful involvement in student organizations and community engagement projects. Through these conversations, you’ll explore scholarship, undergraduate research, internship and other high-impact opportunities. You’ll also gain practice articulating your strengths and experiences to others, including prospective employers.

Roo Advising

Your interactions with faculty, alongside those with your professional advisor in Roo Advising, will help you make the most of your time and efforts at UMKC.

Roo Advising will help you meet all the minimum requirements toward your undergraduate degree. Current students can schedule appointments, including graduation audits, through UMKC Connect.
