Biography
Dr. Ye Wang is Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication and Journalism at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. She holds a Ph.D. in Journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri–Columbia, along with an MS in Computer Science (AI emphasis), MA in General Linguistics, and MA in Journalism. Her research bridges computational methods with human-centered approaches, with a focus on consumer insights, unstructured data analysis, and AI-assisted text analysis. Her scholarship advances human–AI collaboration in strategic communication, health communication, and human-computer interaction.
