Lyn Elliot is a filmmaker specializing in short-form narrative, nonfiction, and animated films. Her work has screened and won awards at film festivals in the U.S. and around the world, such as South by Southwest, the Ann Arbor Film Festival, The New York Underground Film Festival, and the Seoul International Women’s Film Festival. Grants she has been awarded in support of her work include a UMKC Funding for Excellence Grant, an Arts KC Inspiration Grant, a Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Individual Artist Grant, and a Rocket Grant, funded by the Charlotte Street Foundation and The KU Spencer Museum of Art. She holds an M.F.A. in Film and Video Production and a Ph.D. in English, both from the University of Iowa.
