The ALI has programs available to students in the U.S. who are not on a visa or students who are on visas other than the F-1 or J-1. The ALI also seeks to serve the KC metro by offering customized curriculums to area organizations.
Intensive English Program
This full-time program is open to students who plan to get a degree from UMKC. Prospective students must provide proof of legal status in the United States to be accepted. The cost of tuition for this program is based on university tuition rates.
Fall and Spring Community English Program
This part-time program is open to beginning and intermediate learners. Prices start at $400 for eight weeks.
Summer Community English Program
This part-time program is open intermediate and advanced learners. Tuition is $225 for four weeks of instruction. Partial scholarships are available.
English for KC Businesses
Explore specialized English language training programs for business professionals in the greater Kansas City metro area. These programs are designed to improve workplace communication, intercultural competence and leadership skills.
